Easyboot Glove Back Country Fitting Tips

  • Easyboot Back Country boots fit on both the left and the right hoof: they are not left/right specific.
  • After the cover has been secured, ensure Velcro® flap ends are overlapped in the correct position.
  • Working your horse in incorrectly sized Easyboot Back Country boots can lead to chafing. Correct size selection will ensure maximum performance and hoof boot durability.
  • Give your horse time to adjust to wearing Easyboot Back Country boots. The first time you fit your horse with Easyboot Back Country boots, start by just walking out.
  • Gradually increase the duration and distance of rides wearing Easyboot Back Country boots to ensure your horse becomes accustomed to the new hoofwear. Too much too soon can lead to chafing.

Q Is the Easyboot Glove Back Country Comfortable for my horse?
A The Easyboot Back Country has an anatomically designed sole, which provides maximum flexibility and resists wear. The sole shape is available in 18 regular and wide sizes (see sizing chart), accommodating a broad variety of hoof shapes for definitive comfort and security. Lightweight, ergonomic and breathable, this boot has a Comfort Cup that is incorporated into the rear of the boot for the latest technology in support and protection of the soft tissue areas.

Q What is the Comfort Cup on the Easyboot Glove Back Country?
A The Comfort Cup System is a new form of gaiter built into the back of the boot to caress and protect the soft tissue at the rear of your horse’s hoof. Supple and resilient, the Comfort Cup is anatomically designed to flex with each step and hug the back of the pastern. And because the gaiter is independent of the flexible Cordura upper, we’ve virtually eliminated the risk of rubbing.

Q What are the features of the Easyboot Glove Back Country?
A Features:

» The Comfort Cup Gaiter is incorporated into the rear of the boot for the latest technology in protection and support of the soft tissue areas.
» The lightweight upper stabilizes the boot on the hoof.
» Quick and easy to put on and take off, no hand strength or force required.

Q Will my horses wear the same size boot in the Easyboot Glove Back Country as they wear in the Easyboot Glove?
A The Easyboot Glove Back Country and the Easyboot Glove utilize the same size chart; however, you may choose to size up for the Easyboot Glove Back Country. The Cordura upper not only stabilizes the boot on the hoof, it also allows for flexibility in sizing. This unique upper features an integrated power strap, which yields a slightly snugger fit than the same size in the Easyboot Glove. You may choose to increase your boot size by a half or full size in order to accommodate this feature or for specific needs such as trim cycle or ease of application. If you do not have previous experience with the Easyboot Glove, we recommend getting a Fit Kit to ensure that you select the proper size. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding fit and one of our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to help you.

Q Can I purchase gaiters for the Easyboot Glove Back Country?
A The Back Country gaiters and the Comfort Cup can be purchased separately as an accessory.

Q Can I ride my horse with the Easyboot Glove Back Country over metal shoes?
A It is recommended that you do not use the Back Country over metal shoes. Using hoof boots over metal shoes voids the 90-day repair and or replacement warranty.

Q Are the Easyboot Glove Back Country boots worn on all four feet?
A That is really personal preference. It depends on distance covered and type of terrain.

Q Do I require the same size Easyboot Glove Back Country on the front and rears?
A Not necessarily. Always take hoof measurements as soon as possible after a fresh trim and measure each hoof separately. Correct size selection and proper fitting are very important and will ensure maximum performance from Easyboot Glove Back Country.
